Pevsner's The Buildings of England

WDA mentioned in renowned book

It’s a great honour to have the quality of our work recognised in the most current edition of Nikolaus Pevsner's 'The Buildings of England, Dorset'.

This book is often referred to as the 'Bible of British Architecture' and we are pleased that WDA has five buildings mentioned.

Pevsner was an Architectural Historian, originally from Germany, who settled in the UK in the 1930's. He wrote a number of Architectural guides noting the most significant buildings and Architecture throughout the country.

Despite Pevsner's death in 1983, new editions of his guides continue to be produced containing both new buildings and updated information on older buildings.
