Contemporary and cosmopolitan in appearance, this modern curved building was built on the site of the derelict Fayrewood Pub.
The ground floor accommodates a convenience store for a major national retailer and a small shop. To maximise the use and commercial value of the site, 12 apartments were accommodated above the supermarket and small shop.
To reduce the mass of the building, the structure is broken up into many steps and sections, emphasised by the range of diverse external finishes of white render, timber and zinc cladding. The result is a strong architectural statement. The prominent corner site location justifies a visually important building to turn the corner and to make this building stand out from its neighbours.
