One of several redundant buildings on this former farmyard site in Dorset, the cowshed was blessed with extensive panoramic views over open countryside. This made it ideal for conversion under Class Q Prior Approval.
The asbestos roof has been replaced with corrugated metal sheet. Horizontal timber cladding on the external walls give a contemporary appearance whilst retaining the agricultural aesthetic.
Internally the old steel trusses have been retained, left exposed and painted with red oxide to express the history of the building.
