Project Description

Large traditional country house in Piddlehinton, North Dorset

Situated in North Dorset, the European House is so named given its subliminal references to country houses designed and built in vast spaces of land across Europe, particularly in France. References include the roofs coming down to the tops of first-floor windows and also that the dwelling includes several building elements with gables orientated in different directions. However, this traditional country house still remains in keeping with the architecture as seen in buildings found elsewhere in the village.
