The contemporary design respects the existing landscape, nestled along the existing mature tree line and working with the topography of the site to create a floating studio with a deck that over sails the natural swimming pool, creating a relationship between the meditative practice of Yoga and nature.
The scheme works hard to enhance the character of the local area and is sensitive to nearby listed buildings, with new planting around the site as well as improved access. The glazed wall of the studio blurs the formal separation of users from their environment, allowing them to work in harmony.
Sustainability was a key driver in this scheme and measures such as a sedum roof and SIP panel construction will all contribute to offsetting the buildings carbon footprint.
