Western Design is committed to the continual professional development of all its staff. We achieve this through a variety of methods:
In house seminars (CPDs)
A representative from a specialist company such as a product supplier or consultant will give a presentaion or workshop on their subject of expertise.
The team at Western Design regularly visit manufacturers, quarries and brickworks to learn more about the manufacturing processes and finished materials.
Western Design staff visit site during the construction phase to improve their understanding of the building processes and health and safety issues of the site. We also take pleasure in visiting completed projects both designed by Western Design and other architects.

RIBA Dorset Branch
Staff are encouraged to take part in activities of the Dorset local branch.
